News for the week of 5/13/13…

May13

6th graders are wrapping up their work on improvisation skills and beginning to study shadow puppetry.

7th graders are continuing rehearsals for their children’s theatre performance for young students. We are working to incorporate stage lighting and sound in the Forum. We will perform next week for 2nd graders from Stenson Elementary and students from the Early Childhood Center!

8th graders are rehearsing their final performance piece about life in 8th grade. We will perform for other 8th grade Encore classes next week.

7th graders have performed their personal narratives using storytelling techniques and are rehearsing their children’s theatre performance for young students!

8th graders have performed their scripted scenes and are working to create their final performance piece about life in 8th grade!

Welcome to Drama T3B 6th graders! This week we will learn about key Drama principles, play ensemble-building games, and learn class procedures.

7th graders are writing and practicing their personal narrative storytelling performance.

6th graders will perform on Thursday for the art class. The class has adapted the Greek myth of Icarus into a shadow puppet play for this performance.

7th graders are working on storytelling techniques.

8th graders are practicing and performing their final physical comedy scenes.
