Congratulations to all the boys and girls that will be representing Old Orchard on our Volleyball and Soccer teams this spring.

… REMEMBER TO JOIN the 7th & 8th Grade Boys & Girls Track & Field teams- There are NO tryouts for these teams. Just attend the April 2nd Orientation/Organizational meeting and sign up through the “Athletics Link” on the school website. Students must also have a medical form and concussion form turned into Mrs. Neiweem, our school nurse, before practices begin. Forms are available on the school website, “Athletics Link” as well.

Friday, 3/22/13: NO SCHOOL -Spring Break begins

 

Have a restful and active vacation. Upon our return, we will be doing Spring Physical Fitness testing where students will strive to improve their scores from the fall. All students will be in P.E. and Health class will resume on April 4th.

Spring Interscholastic Sports team tryouts are this week:

  • 7th Grade Boys Volleyball-7:00 a.m., March 12th, March 13th & March 14th
  • 8th Grade Boys Volleyball-3:30 p.m., March 12th, March 13th & March 14th
  • 7th Grade Girls Soccer-7:00 a.m., March 13th, March 14th & March 15th
  • 8th Grade Girls Soccer-3:30 p.m., March 14th & March 15th

 

… AND WE CAN”T FORGET: 7th & 8th Grade Boys & Girls Track & Field-There are NO tryouts for these teams. Just attend the April 2nd Orientation/Organizational meeting.

 

Athletes trying out or participating on any of our Interscholastic teams can sign up through the “Athletics Link” on the school website. Thursday, 3/7/13: Choice- Indoor Soccer (A Gym) or Indoor Kickball (B Gym)

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • ISAT testing is this week, March 5th – March 8th. The P.E. & Health department is hosting Before School Sports every day at 7:45 a.m. and distributing a healthy snack to every student. Details are posted on fliers all around the building.

The week of March 12th – 16th

Crazy Weather!

When your done enjoying your PE class of either Circuit Training or Eclipse ball, take advantage of the this warm weather and get outside and PLAY!

This Friday is our our first Quiz for the third trimester and the only one for Health rotation D.  Study guides and review sheets are available on the P.E. Website. The test covers information about flexibility, agility, muscles, exercises that stretch them and the FITT formula.
