About Mrs. Sarangan

Hello!

Welcome to my teacher blog! I love working with students to help them become readers, writers, and thinkers!  I taught first grade at Jane Stenson for 7 years and am currently teaching second grade !  I received my Bachelor’s in Education from Loyola University, Chicago.  I also have a Master’s in Literacy from University Of Illinois-Chicago.

I was born in New Delhi, India and raised in New York City and Skokie, IL.  I love spending time with my family and friends.  One of my favorite sports is long distance running. I love training for and running the Chicago Marathon!  I also love to cook and bake yummy things for my family and friends.  Exploring the world is also my passion. So far, I have visited- India, Amsterdam, London, Spain, Italy, Greece, Hong Kong, Germany, France,  Switzerland, Bali, Singapore, Turkey, Hungary, and Canada.

Lastly, I LOVE to read, read, read!
