8th Grade Science Blog

I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Science, Social Studies and Language Arts as well as a minor in Spanish. I took the opportunity to move to Hampton, Virginia where I taught sixth and eighth grade science for two years. Although I miss the mild weather and the beach I moved back to Chicago to be closer to my family. I teach eighth grade science at Old Orchard Junior High School as well as coaching cheerleading, track and Science Olympiad. I also earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction through Concordia University and am working on my ESL endorsement through National Louis University. I look forward to a collaborative relationship with my fellow teachers, my students and their parents or guardian to create every opportunity of academic success. I believe that everyone is capable of achieving their goals, as long as they remain focused, take responsibility, and regularly put forth their best effort. Only good can result from one’s best effort.
